The School District of Sturgeon Bay recognizes the importance of preparing our teachers and students for the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in our teaching and learning processes. To ensure safe and ethical practices surrounding AI used in classrooms, the district has developed expectations for staff and students regarding AI use. Our stance is that AI can and should be used as a tool to increase efficiency and productivity, support clear communication, and prepare our students for a world increasingly influenced by AI. AI should not be used in a way that undermines learning, replaces original thought, or compromises the privacy, confidentiality, or security of our staff, students, and families.
