Sturgeon Bay School District uses PowerSchool to manage student information. Through PowerSchool and another program called SchoolMessenger, parents/guardians can designate calling preferences for emergency broadcasts, school closing announcements, lunch balance notifications, and student attendance communications.
The system is programmed to call the primary phone number of parents, pulling that information from Power School. In order to enhance our ability to accurately deliver that information, we ask that you create your own contact preference profile within Power School Parent Sign In.
Creating your Parent Sign-In account in Power School will need to be completed first. Look for the SchoolMessenger link on the left after you log-in to designate your calling preferences.
1. Click on the SchoolMessenger link on the left to set your calling preferences.
2. The Contacts tab will show you the phone numbers and email address listed in Power School.
3. When you click on the Edit link, you can designate which phone number will receive the different types of notifications. Click Save to save your changes.
4. Emergency notifications will be sent to all phone numbers and email addresses listed.
Please update your phone numbers or email address by contacting your student’s school office secretary.
